The Allen-Bradley PLC-5 Pulse Output Expander Module is designed to extend pulse generation capabilities in motion control systems. It features 5–30 Volt DC digital inputs used for functions such as jogging and emergency stop (E-Stop). The module outputs high-speed pulses at up to 20 kilohertz using a translator-compatible source/sink push-pull signal. It installs into a standard 1771 I/O chassis and requires 0.80 Amps of backplane current at 5V DC. Engineered for precise timing and control, it is ideal for integrating with stepper drives or servo systems in industrial automation applications.
