Collecting Personal Information
When you visit the Site, we collect certain information about your device, your interaction with the Site, and the information necessary to process your purchases. We may also collect additional information if you contact us for customer support. In this Privacy Policy, we refer to any information that can identify an individual as "Personal Information". The categories we collect, and why, are described below.
Device information. To load the Site accurately for you and to keep it secure and reliable, we automatically collect your browser version, IP address, time zone, the pages and products you view, the site or search terms that referred you, and how you interact with the Site. This is collected using cookies and similar technologies and is handled by our hosting and infrastructure providers.
Order and account information. To provide products and services to you, fulfill our contract, process payments, arrange shipping, send invoices and order confirmations, communicate with you, and screen orders for fraud, we collect your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, and payment information. When you make a purchase, card details are processed by our payment provider and are not stored on our servers.
Customer support information. When you contact us for support or submit a form on the Site (such as a quote, repair, or sell-surplus request), we collect the information you provide, which may include your name, company, email address, phone number, and any details or files you send us. We use this information to respond to and support your request.
Minors
The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not intentionally collect Personal Information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us at the address above to request deletion.
Sharing Personal Information
We share your Personal Information with service providers who help us operate the Site and fulfill our contracts with you — for example, our hosting and infrastructure providers, our email delivery provider, our payment provider, and shipping carriers. These providers are permitted to use your information only to perform services on our behalf.
We may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.
No mobile or messaging consent information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Using Personal Information
We use your Personal Information to provide our services to you, which includes offering products for sale, processing payments, fulfilling and shipping your orders, providing customer support, and — where you have asked us to — keeping you up to date on new products, services, and offers.
Lawful Basis (EEA / UK)
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we process your Personal Information under the following lawful bases: your consent; the performance of the contract between you and us; compliance with our legal obligations; to protect your vital interests; and for our legitimate interests, which do not override your fundamental rights and freedoms.
Retention
When you place an order through the Site, we retain your Personal Information for our records unless and until you ask us to erase it, subject to any legal, accounting, or reporting obligations that require us to keep it longer.
Automated Decision-Making
We do not engage in fully automated decision-making that has a legal or otherwise significant effect using customer data.
Cookies
A cookie is a small amount of information downloaded to your computer or device when you visit our Site. Cookies let the Site remember your actions and preferences (such as staying signed in) so you don't have to re-enter them as you move between pages or return to the Site.
We keep our use of cookies minimal. The primary cookie we set is:
rnc_customer_jwt — keeps you securely signed in to your customer account. It is an httpOnly, secure cookie that expires after approximately 24 hours. We may also use a small number of functional cookies that are strictly necessary for security and basic Site functionality.
Analytics cookies. Our analytics services also set cookies: Google Analytics uses cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) to distinguish visitors and measure how the Site is used, and Microsoft Clarity uses cookies (such as _clck and _clsk) to connect the actions within a single visit. See the Analytics section below for what these services do and how to opt out.
Most browsers accept cookies automatically, but you can usually block or delete them through your browser's settings. Please note that blocking essential cookies may prevent you from signing in or using parts of the Site.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors use the Site, for example which pages and products are viewed, which searches are run, and how visitors move through the Site. You can read about how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out of Google Analytics here: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
We also use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors interact with the Site through aggregated heatmaps and session replays. Clarity masks the text you type into forms and other sensitive content by default. You can read Microsoft's privacy statement at privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.
We also use Google's advertising measurement tools to understand how our ads perform, such as whether a visit from an ad leads to an inquiry or order.
If you are visiting from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we ask for your consent before these analytics services are loaded, and you can decline without affecting your use of the Site. For all visitors, if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as an opt-out and do not load these services at all.
The information generated by these services is aggregated and does not identify you personally, and we do not send them your name, email address, or other contact details.
Targeted Advertising and "Sale" of Personal Information
We use the third-party analytics services described under Analytics above to understand how visitors use the Site. We do not use targeted advertising services, and we do not sell your Personal Information or share it with advertising partners for cross-context behavioural advertising. If this changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required, provide you with an opt-out mechanism.
If you visit our Site with a Global Privacy Control (GPC) or similar opt-out signal enabled, we will honour it as a request to opt out of any activity that may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of Personal Information under applicable U.S. state privacy laws.
Your Rights (EEA / UK)
If you are a resident of the EEA or the UK, you have the right to access the Personal Information we hold about you, to have it corrected, updated, or erased, and to port it to a new service. To exercise these rights, please contact us using the information above. Your Personal Information is stored and processed in the United States.
California Privacy Rights
If you are a resident of California, you have the right to access the Personal Information we hold about you (the "Right to Know"), to have it corrected or deleted, and to port it to a new service. To exercise these rights, or to designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, please contact us using the information above.
Do Not Track
Because there is no consistent industry standard for how to respond to "Do Not Track" signals, we do not currently alter our data collection and usage practices when we detect such a signal from your browser.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised.
Complaints
If you would like to make a complaint, please contact us by e-mail or mail using the details under "Contact" above. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
