The Allen-Bradley 1771-IF analog input module is a 12-bit input module from the PLC 5 product line. It works by measuring the analog signals that it receives at its inputs and by converting these signals into either a 12-bit binary value or a proportional 3-bit BCD value. The 1771-IF analog input module can connect to as many as 8 analog devices that measure pressure, temperature, or light intensity at a time.
